Benefits for builders

Load capacity of roofs made of Ecopan panels

The value of the roof load

Designed for use class 2 according to EN 1995-1-1. The maximum span between supports is 1250 mm. The calculation model is valid in the case of undivided cladding on both sides of the Ecopan panels. The mechanical properties of the insulating filler used in the calculation model are given in the table below. In the calculation model, slotted joints and Ecopan ridge beams are used. Ecopan slotted joints and ridge beams give the same mechanical resistance results

Load value

The load values are calculated values according to EN 1995-1-1 and relevant EN standards. The actual load of the panel is included in the calculation. Characteristics of OSB/3 according to EN 12369-1. The strength class of wooden elements is C24 according to EN 338.
Considering the modification, the deformation and partial coefficients (kmod, kdef, γm) should be used according to EN 1995-1-1, taking into account the duration of the load and the corresponding class of operation.

Title

Ecopan can produce panels in different thicknesses allowing us to achieve very low heat transfer coefficient values, our u values can range from 0.29 W/m².K to 0.15 W/m².K, a detailed table of heat transfer coefficients for different characteristics can be found in the Technology section
